He was born in 1958, in İstanbul. Graduated from Saint-Benoît High School. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees of Applied Economics from the University of Aix-Marseille III (France). 

He has worked as director general of Konda Research Company; as the Turkish representative of the French economic press group, Groupe Expansion; has worked for the daily Hürriyet as an economics correspondent, as the director of foreign news, as a deputy editor in chief, as director of news research and as an internet writer; and as a columnist for the daily Milliyet. He was a visiting faculty member at Kadir Has University, and has been a commentator on many television programs. He has worked as the chief editor of Hürriyet İnsan Kaynakları (HR) and Hürriyet, and contributed as a columnist. He also worked on several social responsibility projects. 

Has been working as a freelance correspondent in the communications and political research fields since January 2016.
